Spouse or Partner Sponsorship

If you’re planning on sponsoring your spouse or partner for immigration to Canada, Mayur Immigration Consultancy can help you through this program. The applications therein are processed as a priority by the IRCC to help you get close to your loved one as soon as possible!
With this program, you can sponsor your husband, wife, or partner based on a legal marriage contract, a conjugal partner, or a common-law partner where you have a live-in relationship with the other person. Same-sex marriage partners are also eligible and may be given preference based on the country’s quota. To sponsor your spouse, you must:

- Be a Canadian permanent resident or citizen
- Be 18 years old or more
- Not need any social assistance other than for disability reasons. The same is true for your spouse.
- Be able to fulfill the basic needs of your spouse or any dependent children during their stay in Canada.
- Must meet the mandated financial requirements.

Parents & Grandparents (PGP) Sponsorship
This program allows you to sponsor your parents and grandparents quickly and qualify them for Permanent Residency. The PGP program is unique and exclusive for parents and grandparents. You will need to submit an undertaking to the IRCC proving that you can and will take care of and support the immigrants.
- Proof of your own permanent residence or citizenship status in Canada
- Proof of your status in the country and its economy
- Prove that your income in the last three years meets the minimum income criteria set forth by the federal government.
- Your own and your parents’/grandparents’ medical certificates
- Any other documents as needed.
Dependent Child Sponsorship
Under this program, Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their dependent children to come to Canada as immigrants. The sponsor must be the child’s parent or grandparent, or other eligible relatives, biologically or via adoption.

A dependent child means:
- Either biological or adopted child,
- Under the age of 22 unless mentally or physically dependent
- Not married or in common law relationship.
To be eligible to sponsor a dependent child:
- The sponsor must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
- Must have adequate income and accommodation to support the sponsored child in Canada
- The Sponsor must have no criminal record
- The sponsor must have no record of bankruptcy

Relative Sponsorship
Canada also offers a chance for you to invite other relatives to live with you via the sponsorship program. This can include anyone, provided you are a direct or indirect relative. In the case of indirect relatives, the individual in question must also apply through the Express Entry program or the PNP. The sponsorship program will add CSR points to their profile and therefore increase their chances of immigration.
When sponsoring a relative for Canadian immigration, permanent residence, or visa, you must be able to:
- Financially support the relative and ensure they get accustomed to the Canadian culture
- Provide food, shelter, and clothing to the immigrant, along with any other basic needs
- Support yourself AND the relative (must have sufficient income)
- Ensure that the relative does not need any social assistance other than for disability reasons.
